third-trimester
Congratulations, you have entered into the third and the final stage of pregnancy. This is the time when most of the women become tired of being pregnant. They also become stressed due to sudden increase in their body weight. Some people stop looking at mirror due to their extra large body size. Tiredness and dizziness increase irritation which makes you last few weeks full of misery. Although, last few weeks are difficult but this time will not stay forever so why not enjoy its every single moment instead of getting stressed? I know you are dying to take your child in your hands and kiss him or her. You do not have to wait long as you have already entered into the third trimester. I will tell you how you can forget your sufferings and enjoy every single moment of these last few weeks along with your baby.

Third Trimester, a Critical Stage

28th week to 40th week or time of delivery is definitely a critical time as the baby has grown fully which means your body is carrying excessive weight. The body becomes very sensitive at this time that is why you have to take extra care as a little carelessness can cause serious problems. You can expect continued breast growth and weight gain during these last few weeks. Not only this, you may face Braxton hicks contractions that is pain but this pain is weak as compared to the pain you feel during delivery. Apart from this, backaches, shortness of breath, constipation, heart burn, swelling in whole body, itching, dark spots on skin and frequent urination are also common during the last stage of pregnancy.

Third Trimester of Pregnancy, a Brief Overview

As mentioned above third and the last phase start from 28th week and lasts till delivery. Your body goes through frequent changes in every week so here I am with week by week overview of third trimester of pregnancy. By the 28th week, the child becomes six to nine pounds in weight and 19 to 22 inches long. The interesting thing is that now he is able to blink and he also sees dreams in there. He will be able to use all his five senses till 31st week which means he can taste the food you eat and listen what you speak so you may start taking to your child now no matter what others say, after all you baby needs someone to speak with.

3rd_trimester_diagramDo not get worried, if you receive a kick on your belly in week 32 as this is probably your naughty child asking you that he is missing you. These kicks become more frequent during the last few days as your baby continue to grow but the space is not enough for him. The baby start moving downwards usually during 34thweek of pregnancy but this may happen earlier. The child takes heads down and bottom up position at this time. Expect to carry sic pound weight till week 36. The child becomes ready to come out during 39th week and here he is in 40th week. Congratulations once again for a successfully pregnancy. Wait a minute, if you do not feel any pain during 39th, 40th or 41st week then it means your child needs extra time so nothing to worry about as 50% of children take birth after 40th week.
